took 25-year-old revenge from New Zealand: 12-year drought also

Sports Desk, New Delhi. Team India has won the Champions Trophy 2025 title thanks to the tight bowling of Indian spinners and the captaincy innings of Rohit Sharma.IND vs NZ

India defeated New Zealand by 4 wickets in the final.  With this, the team of the same team became the team with the most number of Champions Trophy wins in a row. Before this, India and Australia had won the title 2-2.

Took revenge of 25 years old defeat

Not only this, Team India has also taken revenge of 25 years old defeat from New Zealand. The Kiwis had defeated India in the final of Champions Trophy 2000.  The Indian team last played in the Maratha Stadium in 2013. In this way, Rohit Sharma has ended the drought of 12 years.

Talking about the final match played in Dubai, New Zealand team, who won the toss and came to bat first, scored 251 runs by losing 7 wickets in 50 overs.  In reply, the Indian team scored 254 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 49 overs.

Great start for the Kiwi team

The Kiwi team, who came to bat first, got a good start. Openers Rachin Ravindra and Chil Young shared a 57-run partnership. Varun Chakraborty broke this partnership by dismissing Dil Young LBW. Young scored 15 runs off 23 balls.

After this, Kuldeep Yadav flattered India by taking 2 important wickets in a row. Kuldeep trapped Ravindra in the eighth over.  Rachin scored 37 runs in 29 balls. Kuldeep scored an old VINAYAMAS vs BINARY ILLS in the 13th over. He could score 11 runs in 14 balls.

Mitchell scored 63 runs

After this, the Kiwi team kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Ravindra Jadeja got Tang Latha out LBW on a score of 14. Charun Chakraborty got Glenn Phillips out on a score of 34.  Daryl Gichel played the highest innings of 63 runs. During this, Gichel also hit 3 fours.

Captain Mitchell Santner was run out on a score of 8. Michael Bestel remained unbeaten after scoring 53 runs in 40 balls. Varun Chakravarthy and Kuldeep Yadav took 2-2 wickets from India’s side. Also, Mohammed Shami and Ravindra Jadeja took 1-1 wickets.

Opener Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill gave a strong start to the Indian team. There was a partnership of 105 runs for the first wicket between the two. Gill was caught out in the 19th over. He faced 50 balls and scored 31 runs with the help of a six. India got another blow in the very next over. Virat Kohli’s bat did not work in this form. Virat faced 2 balls and scored 1 run.

Rohit Sharma missed the century

Captain Rohit Sharma, who was moving towards the century, got stumped after playing a wrong shot. Hitman faced 83 balls and scored 75 runs. In this innings, Rohit hit 7 fours as well as 3 sixes. After Rohit’s wicket fell, Shreyas Iyer and Adhar Patel added 61 runs. Iyer, who was close to fifty, got caught out in the 392

over. He played 62 balls and played this innings with the help of 2 fours and 2 sixes.

He scored 118 runs in 18 balls, Rahul remained unbeaten on 34 runs in 33 balls and Ravindra Jadeja remained unbeaten on 9 runs in 6 balls. Kiwi captain Mitchell Santner and Michael Deswell took 2-2 wickets. Ravindra Jadeja and Kyle Jamieson took 11 wickets.
