Auto Desk, New Delhi. Automaker Kia is engaged in expanding its lineup of electric vehicles. Under this, the company has introduced Kia EV4. It has been brought in both fastback sedan and hatchback body styles. Its sale is going to start in Korea in March 2025. Design of Kia EV4
Exterior
Its exterior has a low nose, vertically stacked headlamps and Kia’s signature star map LED DRLS. The side profile has sporty dual-tone alloy wheels, flush door handles, prominent wheel arches, tapering roofline and black out pillars. At the same time, lighting elements have been used in the front at the rear. The company also offers GT-Line trim with both Kia hatchback and sedan, which gives it extra sporty flair.
Interior
The Kia EV4 has a multi-layered dashboard, 30-inch wide-screen display and 1-spoke asymmetrical steering wheel with mounted controls. It is equipped with features like sliding table console, a rotating armrest, ample seating space in both rows, dynamic welcome lighting and ambient lighting. It has entertainment options like YouTube, Netflix, Disney+, games and karaoke.
Battery pack and range
•Kia EV4 has been developed on a 400V electric global modular platform. It is being brought in two variants, which will be a 58.3 kWh battery pack and an 81.4 kWh battery pack. It will have an electric motor at the front, which will generate 201 hp power.

.It takes just 7.4 to 7.7 seconds to achieve a speed of 0 to 100 km/h. The top speed of both is 170 km/h. Talking about its range, the standard model of the EV4 sedan will give 430 km on a full charge and the range will increase to 630 km with the long-range variant. At the same time, the EV4 hatchback will give a range of 590 km.
• It has a 1-kW on-board charger, which supports both single-phase and three-phase input. It gets charged from 10-80% in just 31 minutes. Features like 3.6 KVA Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and 10 KVA Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) have also been provided in the EV4.
Equipped with new ADAS features
Kia EV4 has been equipped with new ADAS features. Its design itself is quite robust. Multi-rib structures have been used in the rocker panels to provide better safety against side impacts. The EV4 has received a 5-star rating in Euro NCAP and US NCAP.
